College Critter!

Yet another hamster announcement

Greetings, my readers, and welcome back to Foot Fungus Incorporated!!

As you may have noticed, it has been a while since I last wrote a foot fungus article. The last one was over a year ago, where I interviewed my Dad about foot fungus. Wow, has it really been that long? Months without issuance, after half a year of continuous publication??

I could say it was because I was occupied writing a book trilogy about dragons. I could argue that my last year of high school, enveloped as it was in dual credits and challenging college courses, kept me from adding to my stash of fungal wisdom. I could insist that a Russian hacker hijacked my DNS server on all devices connected to my home network, blocking access to beehiiv and re-routing it to a picture of a squirrel instead!

hackers always drive me nuts

But the truth of the matter is, I haven’t been writing. Blame it on lack of ideas, motivation, or time, I haven’t been sending more articles. And now, I kind of want to write more.

I am now in college. The freedom, techy classes, and friendly community have all been amazing, and despite having my schedule crammed from dawn till dusk with truckloads of homework and quizzes, I am quite enjoying the atmosphere.

It is a constant of my life, however—perchance, a gift of the creative—that, whilst striding dutifully between classes, or engaged in a run about campus, or attempting to fall asleep at a far later hour than I should have retired, I start to get ideas. And, whenever I have free time, I like to work on these ideas, expressing my creative nature through projects I find fun and exhilarating.

Such is, I would argue, our calling as humans—to create, as God has created us. One of which ways, for me personally, is to write satirical articles about foot fungus.

The Future, and its Implications

So what does this mean? Will Hamster return to his streak of weekly production?

Well… not necessarily. College, I am learning, is quite busy, and there are many different projects I would like to work on in the free time I get. I have, however, written an article based on a Q&A I received from my cousin shortly after I stopped writing my articles—one which I feel pretty good about, and would like to share with my readers. It feels really good to write another one of these articles, and honestly, I am excited.

Beyond that, who knows? Life, right now, is a whirlpool—unpredictable, dangerous, but ultimately enjoyable. I can’t plan out what is going to happen in the next few months, nor should I. But I can live in the moment—and right now, my schedule (velocity), desires (water-oxygen ratio in my lungs), and calling (angle in the waves? I think I need to review Physics I) align in the writing of another article.

So enjoy the article! Comment, email, and have fun with the issue. I have appreciated having you as an audience—your questions, comments, and encouragement mean a lot. There is nothing more fulfilling to a writer than readers willing to connect with their work, and for that, I am thankful.

So, yeah! New foot fungus!! The article is coming Saturday morning, September 6th, at 9AM. Keep your eyes peeled, and your toes anything but!

Long live the feet!!
